Matthew 1:22-23
22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" which means, "God with us."
Immanuel -God is with us. Not far away in an unapproachable place, but he came to live among us.
Yes, at 33 years of age Jesus was crucified, he died and was buried, rose again and ascended to Heaven to be with his father.
But scripture also says,
Hebrews 13:5-6
5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." 6 So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"
God has promised you His constant presence, but you may not be living in the understanding of His nearness. Gods presence brings peace, rest and the glory of His power.
Begin to memorise scripture which talks of Gods nearness to us so that you can encounter and experience Gods reality on a daily basis.
