HEBREWS 4:12
12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
In our society the lines are becoming increasingly blurred. What is right used to be wrong and truth has become the total of mans consensus, if there is truth at all. But there is truth, there is a standard which we will all be judged by. It is impossible for any person to discover truth outside of God. We can only know truth if God reveals it to us.
No man or woman can know God unless he reveals Himself to us. God has continually revealed himself to people, firstly: ~
- Through creation
- Then through prophetic words
- Through Angelic appearances
- Through miraculous interventions
- Through sending His own Son in the likeness of a man
- Finally through scripture which has been written and preserved so that "whosoever will" can read and find life
The Bible is the inspired word of God, quick and powerful living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword.
God"s word: ~
Never gets stale
Always has an answer
Always has encouragement
Always shows us How..
Teaches us how God thinks
If you want real answers then read the Bible with a prayer for God"s revelation, and "the truth will set you free."
