For many people last year had more than it’s share of difficulties. Finally it’s over and a new year has begun, but what is it going to be like?

Life is largely what we make of it, and like anything else life it is best when we find the keys for how to live successfully. Many people go through life making the same mistakes and thus getting the same results. There are some things that we have no control over. A family tragedy, sickness or abuse inflicted by someone else.

But usually the problem is not some unseen hand of fate. It is probably not the devil, nor the black cat you fell over while walking under a ladder and smashing the mirror. It is not your gender, economic status, colour of skin or lack of education. It usually comes down to attitude, determination and refusal to accept defeat.

What you sow is what you will reap

Many people believe that they are sowing good seed but they keep on getting bad fruit. That is impossible because seed will always reproduce after its own kind. If you are reaping a poor harvest it is because you haven’t understood the laws which govern that area of life. If we are able to stop from blaming others and shifting the responsibility for our problems, then we are well on the way to attracting the same success as the ‘lucky ones.’

You can’t win the game, until you understand the rules

Some people can be really successful in business but totally ‘unlucky’ in relationships. They just cannot score a husband or wife, and if they can even get a regular date, they turns out to be very clingy or high maintenance. If you don’t understand the rules of successful male-female relationships then probably not very much is going to change. You will still be ‘just plain unlucky’ every time.

The good news is this. We can learn the rules to anything we want to in this life, and thereby obtain a high degree of success. The reason some people succeed while others fail is not luck. Live well, learn what works and pray for God’s help. Together you can do anything. As Sir Winston Churchill once said, “Never, never, never give up.”
